August 2018, Usher fort Jamestown Accra, Chale Wote street art festival ( PARA OTHER ).
An installation of five glass houses with termites and dead wood developed as a studio practice living and socializing with them in a shared space. I decided to install this work after one year at Chale Wote street art festival in a fort whose walls reveal scars of memories and colonial histories of the past with the histories embedded in the piece. The wood has outdated newspapers on them which the termites have repurposed into their own meaning. I am also interested in the daily ritual I perform with the termites as a collaboration which reflects on our relationship with other living organisms who share with us the same environment.
